You are Jonas. You are eating dinner with your family, and have just discovered that Gabriel will be ‘released’ tomorrow morning! You want to take him with you on your escape because you know what will happen to him if he stays behind. However, taking Gabriel will increase your chances of getting caught, and will also make it harder to survive once you leave the community. What do you do? (1 paragraph)
I would take Gabriel because I would not want him to get released. The reason I would take him is because he will get released and he is only a baby. The plan for me and Gabriel is to take Gabriel, pack a bag of food and a whole book bag of food, and move forward.

ReplyDeleteI will take with me because he is a baby that deserves to live his life and two people (Jonas parents) want to kill the baby. Jonas parent are crazy the want to kill a newborn baby just because he cries at night. I still take Gabriel because he loves him and he will hate to hear Gabriel died.

ReplyDeleteI will take Gabriel with me because Gabriel will get released the next day . That why I will take Gabriel with me and I have a 50% chance that we will make it to that place. And we have a 50% chance that me and Gabriel will got caught on the way there . But I have to take a lot of food with me , and a lot of clothes to be warm.

ReplyDelete2) I think what keeps Jonas from giving up is Gabriel because if Jonas stops and gives up Gabriel will die.
3) They survived out in the cold because they saw a house, Christmas tree. When Jonas got to the top of the hill he told Gabriel were almost there.
4) The most important part in The Giver was Jonas seeing the first newborn getting released. I selected this portion because Jonas didn’t no what was going to happen.
If I were Jonas I would still take Gabriel with me. Because I experienced love and I do not want Gabriel to be killed. I would rather take my chance of surviving elsewhere than leaving him to be released.
